“The person was not trying to give perfect answers” (S230)

Daniel put down the phone, frustrated. How would he get through the next few days? Looking for answers, or just some distraction, Daniel picked up the phone and started watching videos. One video caught his eye. A person was talking about faith, hope, and the struggles of everyday life. Daniel could not understand everything at first, but something about the way the person spoke felt honest and simple.

Daniel continued watching. The person was not trying to give perfect answers but was sharing some thoughts about loneliness, hope, and finding meaning in difficult moments. Daniel felt that some of the words connected with what he was going through. When the video ended Daniel watched it again. He did not suddenly find answers to all his problems but he felt a little calmer. He also realized that he should think carefully about what he watches online and not simply believe everything.Daniel put his phone down and decided to reply to one of his close friends. The video had not solved his problems but it gave him a little hope and helped him see things differently.
