“slowly became more curious about this person” (S220)

So I continued watching and slowly became more curious about this person. His name was Cliffe Knechtle. At first, I just came across one of his short videos randomly. I was not actually looking for anything religious or spiritual. But the way he responded to people really caught my attention.

It was not simply that he was talking about faith. What impressed me most was the way he handled arguments. People would come with difficult questions, doubts, and sometimes very strong arguments against religion, and he would not simply avoid them or give a quick answer. He would listen to the argument and try to respond to the actual question behind it.

Sometimes, I even felt that the answer was already hidden somewhere within the question itself. The way he brought that out was really interesting to me. It made me want to watch another video, and then another one.

As I watched more of his videos, I began to understand something about the way he thinks. I started noticing that he was not simply trying to tell people, “You have to believe.” He was trying to make people think, question, and look deeper into what they already believed.

That was what made me continue watching. Without even planning it, I found myself thinking about my own faith in a different way. Some of his arguments helped me to look at my doubts more honestly instead of being afraid of them. And somehow, during those few difficult days, those videos gave me something to hold on to.

I started with just one random short video. But that small moment of curiosity slowly became a deeper reflection on faith, reason, and why I believe what I believe.
