32 unread messages. Nipuni put down the phone, frustrated. How would she get through the next few days? Looking for answers, or distraction, she picked up the phone and started watching videos. One video caught her eye. A remarkable individual, talking about something religious or spiritual. She couldn’t quite make it out, but she was interested and found something impressive, maybe admirable, about the person. So, she continued watching and let the frantic pace of her obligations melt away for a quiet moment.
The speaker on the screen wasn’t using the loud, theatrical performance styles that often flooded social media feeds; instead, there was a profound sense of stillness, theological depth, and authenticity. As someone who deeply valued a grounded, sacramental journey of faith one rooted in quiet reflection rather than commercialized hype Nipuni found herself drawn to the speaker’s message about walking closely with the Divine through daily life, humility, and grace.
The weight of the pending messages, assignments, and scheduling demands began to feel a little lighter. In that quiet pause, surrounded by the digital noise of the modern world, she realized that true spiritual nourishment didn’t come from frantic urgency or external spectacles. It came from stillness, from carving out sacred space in a busy schedule, and from letting the soul breathe in the quiet presence of God. She smiled, closed the app, and picked up her notebook, ready to face the next few days with a renewed sense of peace and centered purpose.
