“discovers that there is a rabbit hole” (S114)

discovers that there is a rabbit hole of religious videos on the internet. Jesse is not an art student but is incredibly interested in untangling the nature of human relationships. Lately, Jesse has not been engaging in activities that used to make her happy. ІShe was always fascinated by the fact that people can unite around shared beliefs and preach them to others. After all, believing in a greater good and justice can warm your heart.
Jesse turns off her phone and finally decides to begin researching.
What is interesting about religious leaders is their way of conducting themselves. Some people say that they are identical to cult readers, but Jesse knows otherwise. Religious leaders use the language of “you and me” rather than “us and them.” They operate with already-known audience notions, which eases the way to people’s hearts.
Despite not identifying with any religion, Jesse still loves and respects it. Her mother is religious, but Jesse could not understand what she should choose. That is why she has decided to stay neutral and discover hidden beauty in every worldview.
Jesse cannot help rewatching the video with that man. He looks so warm, so confident in his words. That is a beauty of human beliefs: sharing your love with others.
