So, Jesse continued watching and listening to the person, who was talking about the law of attraction.
She had heard about it before, had seen all the vision board tutorials on Pinterest, but she had never truly thought about it. In the video, the speaker was talking about putting energy out into the universe, and the universe giving it back to you. They talked about manifestation, and about the power of saying things out loud, both to oneself and to others, in order to make them happen. They argued that things were more likely to become a concrete reality if we made it one by speaking our wish to see it happen. Jesse thought back to the videos she’d seen about people saying a list of affirmations every morning in the mirror to improve their self-esteem and confidence, and printing pictures of their life goals to put up in a collage in their bedroom or office. She had never really thought it was more than just a coincidence that people happened to make things happen for themselves by simply talking about it, by « putting it out into the universe ». But as she watched the video, she became more and more intrigued. It seemed like one big coincidence; the amount of evidence was overwhelming.
