realized that Alexander had been missing out on a very important aspect of life: spirituality. The person in the video was a Christian minister, who appeared to run his channel as part of his ministry of apologetics and evangelism. What he said about forgiveness for sin and human brokenness really resonated with Alexander, who had nearly gone down some very dark paths as a teenager and who knew many who had gone much further than he into substance abuse and other unwholesome behaviour. The message of love and forgiveness for those who trust in Christ nearly made Alexander cry. He had never considered himself religious; he was christened as a child and had been to church on significant family events, but did not believe. Until this day, that is.
The next day, Alexander found the contact details of a local minister and asked to learn more about the Christian faith. He was warmly invited to attend next Sunday’s service and to have a chat with the minister. The church was running a course on the essentials of Christianity for people who were new to faith and Alexander enthusiastically joined this. Fast forward a few months and Alexander is an active member of his local congregation and is trying his best to be a witness in his life.
